About
Jacinta has spent more than 15 years alongside people through pastoral care, outreach programs, youth work, chaplaincy, supervision, and counselling. She is a warm, supportive, and empathic practitioner. When you work together, your story is central.
Her study includes a Master of Counselling specialising in trauma, a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology), and a Bachelor of Arts (Social Justice). The psychology degree is part of that study. Jacinta practises as a counsellor and psychotherapist. She is not a registered psychologist.
She is registered with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, PACFA no. 28681, and she is a graduate member of the Christian Counsellors Association of Australia, CCAA no. 401327. She takes part in regular professional development and clinical supervision.
Faith and spirituality can be part of the work when that matters to you. You do not need to share a faith to come.

Focus
This practice is focused on young women. You do not need the right words before you book. These are places the work often starts, drawn from the areas Jacinta has experience with.
A mind that will not settle, a body that stays on alert, or a load that keeps growing.
When energy, hope, or interest has thinned out, and getting through the week takes more than it should.
Questions about who you are, what you want, and how you want to be known.
Friendships, family, partners, and the patterns that keep repeating.
Endings, moves, study and work shifts, and losses that do not have a tidy name.
Learning what you can ask for, what you can refuse, and a kinder way of seeing yourself.
Trauma can sit underneath any of these. Jacinta’s master’s study specialised in trauma, so the pace can stay gentle. This is not a crisis service, and it is not counselling for children. Appointments are on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Approach
Jacinta does not arrive with a script for your life. She listens, and the work follows what you bring.
The time is supportive and empathic. You set the pace. Sessions sit inside school hours, so the day has a clear edge: Tuesday to Thursday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Grief, anxiety, identity, relationships, and trauma can all be spoken about here. There is no promise of a particular outcome. There is a commitment to take the work seriously.
Sessions
A session is 50 minutes. It is booked inside school hours, so it starts and finishes between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm Brisbane time. Try the sample calendar, or get in touch to ask for a time.
In person in Carindale, Brisbane, or by telehealth. Telehealth uses the same three days and the same hours.
The first session is for your story, what you want from counselling, and whether Jacinta feels like the right person. If she is not the right fit, she will say so.
What you talk about stays private. If there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or if the law requires it, Jacinta may need to share information. She will talk with you about that wherever she can.
The fee is confirmed when you book. A GP referral is not required. These sessions are not Medicare Better Access appointments. Some private health extras policies rebate a PACFA-registered counsellor. Check your fund.
Contact Jacinta as soon as you can if you need to move or cancel. The open hours stay Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Hours
Closed Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Times are Brisbane time, AEST and AEDT.
Queensland state schools generally hold classes between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. Sessions here are booked from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, inside those hours. A session is 50 minutes, and the last one finishes by 3:00 pm.
In person in Carindale, Brisbane. Telehealth is available in the same hours. The street address is confirmed when you book.
Questions
Young women, from 18. If you are not sure you are in the right place, you are welcome to get in touch. This practice does not counsel children.
No. You can book directly. Medicare Better Access rebates are for eligible psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists. Counsellors in private practice are not part of that scheme. PACFA confirmed in 2026 that registrants are not eligible to provide Medicare-rebated services in private practice under the current arrangements. Some private health extras policies do cover counselling. Check with your fund. The official outline is on the Department of Health Better Access page.
In person in Carindale, Brisbane, or by telehealth. Only on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm Brisbane time. Those are school hours. The practice is closed the other days.
A session is 50 minutes, and the last one finishes by 3:00 pm. The fee is confirmed when you book, so it is not listed here as a guess.
Yes, with the usual limits. If there is a serious risk of harm, or if the law requires it, confidentiality can be broken. Jacinta will talk with you about that wherever she can.
Yes, when you want it to be. Jacinta is a member of the Christian Counsellors Association of Australia. You do not need to share her faith, or any faith, to work together.
